One of my favorite new songs is Your Grace is Enough by Matt Maher and Chris Tomlin. The chorus is awesomely simple:

Your grace is enough
Your grace is enough
Your grace is enough for me

I have been singing this song every time I pick up my guitar lately. I have always talked about Gods grace with a sense of mystery and awe. How could God continue to pour out untold mercy upon a blatant sinner? How could he see me any differently than I see myself, messed up and dirty? How, and maybe more importantly, why? That’s why I love this song. I just need to be reminded that Gods grace is enough. That he has payed willingly for relationship with me, and that I am free in him to be a “new creation”.

I have made a lot of mistakes in life, some of them bigger than others. I have also had my fair share of pain and disappointment. I am determined, not to be defined by those mistakes, by that pain. Instead I will use those situations as a foundation of perspective. Perspective of life, of God, and of how it all fits together. And it all fits together with grace…………….more than enough.

Great is Your faithfulness oh God
You wrestle with the sinner’s heart
You lead us by still waters and to mercy
And nothing can keep us apart
